Tropea-Zungri

This itinerary will take you back in history, the Rock Settlement of the “Sbariati” or “Sbandati”; which is located in Zungri, a town not far from Tropea, It is an archaeological site whose area of interest is very vast, The village consists of about 100 cave-houses carved into the rock with single or double rooms, some even on several levels. Finished the guided tour itinerary of the Rock Settlement of the “Sbariati” of Zungri, we will visit the Museum of rock and peasant civilization of Zungri, set up in a former oil mill near the rock settlement. The Museum houses about 3,000 exhibits related to the rock and peasant civilization of Zungri.
